About Course

The B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture is a comprehensive, UGC-recognized 4-year undergraduate degree program designed to build proficient agricultural professionals equipped with scientific knowledge and hands-on expertise. This professional course aims to bridge the gap between traditional agricultural practices and modern innovations by integrating theoretical learning with practical field experience.
Students learn not just in classrooms and laboratories, but also through live fieldwork, research projects, industry training, and farm-based practical sessions. This real-world exposure enables them to design, implement, and manage innovative agricultural solutions to improve productivity, ensure food security, and promote eco-friendly farming.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination by BSER or equivalent in any of the combinations of following subjects in Science/Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination. and JET.

  • Fundamental knowledge in Agriculture and its allied sciences (Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Sciences, Agro-forestry, Plant Protection Sciences, Agricultural Biotechnology, Horticulture, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Microbiology Agricultural Entrepreneurship)

  • Development of research skills in field and laboratory conditions, including the handling of greenhouses, mist chambers and handling of laboratory equipments
