About Course

The M.Sc. in Horticulture is a specialized, UGC-recognized 2-year postgraduate program designed to cultivate advanced expertise in the science and art of horticultural crop production and management. This program prepares professionals to tackle emerging challenges in horticulture through research, innovation, and sustainable practices.
Building on the foundational knowledge acquired during undergraduate studies, students undertake rigorous coursework, advanced laboratory work, field-based experimentation, and industry-driven training. The curriculum emphasizes scientific inquiry, data interpretation, and the application of cutting-edge technologies in horticulture. With focused training in areas such as fruit and vegetable science, floriculture, post-harvest technology, landscape horticulture, and protected cultivation, the program empowers graduates to drive innovation, enhance productivity, and promote environmental stewardship—contributing to national goals in food and nutritional security, employment generation, and export promotion.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their UG Degree in relevant programme through JET / National level/ State level entrance examination or the candidates completed their degree programme from SAU,s and their constituent colleges of Rajasthan. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Program Educational Objectives
